Saudi Arabia: More from the Mouths of Children, No. 3

I have decided that “from the mouth of a child” must become another regular at American Bedu.  Hearing and then visualizing through the ears and eyes of children is enlightening, educating and just downright entertaining at times too!  In this latest post of the new series, young Michael gives his views and perspectives!  I enjoyed learning Michael’s outlook of the preferred culinary choices for both Saudis and Americans. I’m confident readers will smile and perhaps chuckle aloud as they see the rest of Michael’s responses.

Michael’s mom was able to interview Michael on their way to Myrtle Beach.  He was puzzled why so many questions dealt with Saudi so his mom, who is a regular follower of American Bedu, told him how this  blog focused on Saudi Arabia.  Obviously Michael does not.  🙂

  1. This was very interesting, and it did make me laugh! It is interesting to see how each of the children’s individuality shines through in the interviews. I’ve been enjoying reading them all! It will be nice to see it as a regular topic on the blog.

BTW, Myrtle Beach is definitely a cool place to visit! ❤ I hope they all had fun! 🙂

  2. What is “bourbon chicken”?

  3. From Wikipedia:

Bourbon chicken is a flavorful chicken dish named after Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana and for the Bourbon whiskey ingredient. The dish is commonly found at Cajun, Chinese, and American BBQ themed restaurants.

The recipe includes soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and bourbon in the base, and the chicken is marinated in this sauce.

It was nearing lunch time when I asked him these questions so I guess this favorite dish was on his mind. 🙂
