Saudi Arabia/World: Who is Facing the Greatest Persecution?

Franklin Graham, the son of Evangelist Billy Graham, states in this article that Christians in the United States and around the world are facing greater persecution than Muslims.  Has the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrated the U.S. government at the highest levels and influencing American policy?
What do YOU think?

  1. Graham is full of shit, at least as far a the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrating the US, still Christians in Muslim countries are facing grave danger. I only wish Graham had added one more country to the list, Israel. I doubt the Muslim Arabs give a fig for Christians, but the Israelis have been equally good at helping rid the occupied territories of native Christians (the only good Christians for Israelis are ones from the US).

Whether or not Christians face more discrimination than Muslims is a problem for the demographer. I imagine Shiites in Saudi Arabia might suggest that the answer is more complicated,

  2. Ugh. He’s still at it.

  3. While I agree that Christians are persecuted in other countries, I don’t think that way about the US. I don’t feel persecuted.

Interesting about the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrating our government. I believe that would be AIPAC. 🙂

  4. According to the most recent FBI statistics (covering 2009), anti-Jewish attacks account for 70% of hate crimes, and anti-Muslim attacks for only 9% of crimes thus classified. “Anti-Muslim bigotry” is almost completely nonexistent.

The fact of its near-nonexistence is extremely inconvenient for the Islamic victimhood industry; consequently, the Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Muslims have not hesitated to stoop even to fabricating hate crimes, including attacks on mosques. CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.

If we really want to know the cause of what “anti-Muslim bigotry” may actually exist, we need look no farther than Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood jihad mass-murderer; Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; and so many other jihad murderers and would-be murderers.

If anyone in the United States today is suspicious of Muslims in general, it is because of those jihadis and others like them – and because of Muslim Brotherhood spokesmen like Keith Ellison and CAIR’s Ibrahim “Honest Ibe” Hooper, who never acknowledge that the Muslim community in the U.S. has any responsibility whatsoever to teach against the jihadist view of Islam that they supposedly reject.

Instead, Ellison, Hooper and other and other useful idiots like them contrive the picture of Muslim victimhood – and in doing so, end up increasing the “anti-Muslim bigotry” they decry.

Americans aren’t fools, and they can spot liars and deceivers when they see them. The complete lack of Muslim spokesmen who will acknowledge jihad activity honestly and forthrightly stand against in both word and deed has not gone unnoticed. The “anti-Muslim bigotry” industry, in sum, is generated by Muslims and perpetuated by Muslims. And only Muslims have the power to end that bigotry.

Here’s how they can do it, if they care to:

    1. Focus their indignation on Muslims committing violent acts in the name of Islam, not on non-Muslims reporting on those acts.

    2. Renounce definitively, sincerely, honestly, and in deeds, not just in comforting words, not just “terrorism,” but any intention to replace the U.S. Constitution (or the constitutions of any non-Muslim state) with Sharia even by peaceful means. In line with this, they should clarify what is meant by their condemnations of the killing of innocent people by stating unequivocally that American and Israeli civilians are innocent people, teaching accordingly in mosques and Islamic schools, and behaving in accord with these new teachings. All this should be done in ways that can be verified by non-Muslim observers.

    3. Teach, again sincerely and honestly, in transparent and verifiable ways in mosques and Islamic schools, the imperative of Muslims coexisting peacefully as equals with non-Muslims on an indefinite basis, and act accordingly.

    4. Begin comprehensive international programs in mosques all over the world to teach sincerely against the ideas of violent jihad and Islamic supremacism.

    5. Actively and honestly work with Western law enforcement officials to identify and apprehend jihadists within Western Muslim communities.

If Muslims did those five things, voila! “Anti-Muslim bigotry” will evanesce almost immediately!

  5. Agreed.
What a bunch nonesense. Nooonseense. I have not seen any Christian phobia in states at all. In fact, I think fundemental christinaity is been on the rise in the last decade, a movement that seems to have taken place after 9/11/01.
Yes, there are some countries that do not give religions the same rights and benefits than others. The country I am working in now Christians do not have equal rights, namely in the quality and funding of schools, loans on homes and cars. The Christians and other religious groups do not have the right to attend the top national schools and have to go overseas to further thier education. But all and all, that is just here.
Anything that rolls out the mouth the Graham is a message from the far right. Personally, I take anything that comes out of ‘Graham’ mouth with a gain of salt.
Agreed with Susanne, AIPAC might have something to do with this ‘fear campaign’. They have been quite successful on the last ten years, that is for sure.

  6. @Harry – you my friend have been watching WAY too much Faux News….or you’ve been spending too much time with Robert Spencer. Jeesh. Keith Ellison a Muslim Brotherhood spokesman? Lol. RUN! THE MOOSLIMS ARE HERE !!!!!

  7. So right, “Irritated”…I would like to suggest that Harry make up a “to-do” list similar to the one he concocted for Muslims and hand it over to fundamentalist Christians, Tea Partiers, and Far-right Republicans so they can tow the line, as well. The daily anti-Muslim, anti-liberal, anti-anybody but us hate-filled rhetoric coming out of Fox News and far-right radio is incredible. Where are the so-called moderates, Harry? Why aren’t they loudly denouncing speech that promotes hate and violence against others?

Irritated, yes the Moozlim Brotherhood has been here in the US since the 1960s. Leading the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood during much of this period was Ahmed Elkadi, an Egyptian-born surgeon and a former personal physician to Saudi Arabia’s King Faisal. He headed the group from 1984 to 1994 but abruptly lost his leadership position. He discusses his life and the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood for the first time in a special investigative report by Chicago Times.

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/watchdog/chi-0409190261sep19,0,3008717.story

In the U.S. it has operated legally but covertly, mimicking clandestine fraternal organizations that operate on a nod and a secret handshake. Even today, few outside the Islamic inner circles from which it recruits know when, how often or where the Brothers meet to discuss the organization’s abstract but pervasive goal: the creation of Islamic states throughout the world, including the U.S.

Muslim Brotherhood is a key chapter in any story about the struggle for the soul of Islam. Formed in Egypt in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood spawned generations of Islamic activists, both peaceful and violent, around the globe. It is the most influential Islamic fundamentalist organization in the world.

  9. @Harry – give me proof of allllll of this (from credible sources, not loony bloggers or Faux News stories): “The fact of its near-nonexistence is extremely inconvenient for the Islamic victimhood industry; consequently, the Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Muslims have not hesitated to stoop even to fabricating hate crimes, including attacks on mosques. 10. And also while you’re at it, do give me proof that Keith Ellison is a representative of the Muslim Brotherhood. THAT is literally the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard.

  11. @ Harry. This is not an attack on you, but, I believe you have blog since your name is underline. I clicked on your name , and the site has been blocked in the country where Iam.

  12. @Jacey – — and the site has been blocked in the country where I am.

Hmm. I am surprised that it is blocked; it is a city website for Seattle, Washington. You can use proxy servers to unblock any blocked website anywhere.

You can use proxify dot com or hidemyass dot com and then type in seattle.washington dot com preceded by www. Hope it works ….

… do give me proof that Keith Ellison is a representative of the Muslim Brotherhood. THAT is literally the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard.

It may sound ridiculous but it is true: Rep. Ellison’s Hajj was paid for by the Muslim American Society to the tune of $13,350 from the group that wants to destroy the West from within. Star Tribune:

    http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/house/63782922.html?elr=KArks8c7PaP3E77K_3c::D3aDhUec7PaP3E77K_0c::D3aDhUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUr

According to Mohammed Akram, president of US Muslim Brotherhood on May 19, 1991:

“The Muslim Brotherhood “must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” — “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America,”

What does that have to do with Congressman Ellison? Everything. The Muslim American Society paid for his Hajj. And what is the Muslim American Society? The Muslim Brotherhood.

“In recent years, the U.S. Brotherhood operated under the name Muslim American Society, according to documents and interviews. One of the nation’s major Islamic groups, it was incorporated in Illinois in 1993 after a contentious debate among Brotherhood members.” — Chicago Tribune, 2004.

  14. Oh, my, that is the site! I thought perhaps something that is offensive here in Malaysia–WOW.
    Thanks

  15. @Harry – you are making huge sweeping claims that you cannot back up. Give me proof that the Muslim American Society is trying to destroy American from the inside. Give me ONE piece of evidence of this motive. You cited ONE news source (which simply said that the Muslim American Society of Minnesoty paid for Ellison Hajj, NOT that he is a representative of the brotherhood) for your claims and the rest of simply your accusations. Perhaps it is because you cannot find any proof from credible sources?

  16. It is one thing to ridicule idiots like Ellison and quite another to think that the US government is infiltrated by Muslim Brotherhood members. Even if the Brotherhood was responsible for forming some US Muslim organizations, I would assume is money from wealthy oil states that is helping build and mosques and other institutions. If the Brotherhood vanished into thin air today, we would still have money and influence from places like Saudi Arabia. Money makes the world go round.

  17. President of the Muslim Brotherhood? LOL! Who comes out with this BS? The Muslim Brotherghood is a loosely affliated international movement. It has no international HQ, has no international leadership. There are various leaderships in different countries, that is it. It’s not like there is a “Muslim Brotherhood” HQ Cairo with a President, Vice President, CEO, Treasurer, ect. Anyone who says so thinks they know something……….but they dont have a clue.

  18. JerryM: Even if the Brotherhood was responsible for forming some US Muslim organizations, I would assume is money from wealthy oil states that is helping build and mosques and other institutions.

You are exactly right! If you read the special investigative report article by the Chicago Times (2004) I quoted earlier, Saudi Arabia is the chief financier of Muslim Brotherhood in the US and throughout the world.

  19. Getting back to who faces greater persecution, I would guess Christians. Islam is growing in non-Muslim areas, Christianity where it exists in Muslim countries is on the decline. Muslims may not feel the love in the West, but that is a different story. They are free to build their mosques and import their preachers. If Muslims were as put upon as their spokesman say, they would be fleeing for happier lands (say Somalia), instead Muslims seek better lives in the West.

  20. Given that (of late) some nutter Muslims are notoriously screwing things up for their fellow Muslims…I’d say Muslims are a bit more persecuted at the moment.

  21. Who in their right mind would accept anything from Frank or Bill Graham?

Muslim American Society is a front/subsidiary for US Muslim Brotherhood. A document, General Strategies for the Group in North America (Muslim Brotherhood internal document) was discovered by the FBI in 2004 (US District of Northern Texas, 1991).

    http://www.txnd.uscourts.gov/judges/hlf2/09-25-08/Elbarasse%20Search%203.pdf

The first 14 pages are in arabic followed by english translation on page 15, which lists all of the Muslim Brotherhood subsidiaries/fronts.

The document details overview of US Muslim Brotherhood plans to destroy America for Islamic supremacy. CAIR was formed by leaders of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP), an overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood (court documents). IAP was listed in their plans along with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and a number of other organizations, including Muslim American Society, Many mosques in America are affiliated with ISNA.

  23. CONT’D FROM PREVIOUS POSTING

Then, of course, in 2008, there was the infamous trial of the Muslim Brotherhood’s biggest subsidiary ,,, The Holy Land Foundation … and its leaders. The trial was dubbed the “largest terrorism financing prosecution in American history.”

In 2009, the founders of the Muslim Brotherhood/Holy Land Foundation were given life sentences for “funneling $12 million to Hamas and other “islamic terrorist organizations”. Quite a few of the Muslim Brotherhood’s other subsidiaries were named as unindicted co-conspirators including CAIR.

    http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/archives/holy-land-foundation

In addition, Muslim Brotherhood/Holy Land Foundation assets were frozen by the European Union and U.S., and it was shut down by the U.S. government following the discovery that it was funding Hamas and islamic terrorist organizations.

  24. Harry, here is the point you are missing. You have yet to give me proof of the motive that the Muslim American Society is actively attempting to destroy the United States. Seriously, give me an example of their actions specifically. Here is MAS’s response to that investigative report you are emphasizing from the same news source:

This is regarding “A rare look at secretive Brotherhood in America; Muslims divided on Brotherhood” (Page 1, Sept. 19). Although the article represents a comprehensive attempt to define the Muslim Brotherhood and its different relationships with the West, it falls short in many respects. While specific points concerning the Muslim Brotherhood raised throughout the article should be addressed by the Muslim Brotherhood organization itself, there are assertions made about their impact on Islamic activism in the United States that the Muslim American Society would like to clarify.

We, MAS, are a religious, educational, activist and civic organization espousing the comprehensive understanding of Islam as explained by the prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace be upon him), and as outlined and applied more recently by modern Islamic movements, of which the Muslim Brotherhood is pre-eminent. The moderate school of thought prevalent in the Muslim Brotherhood represents a significant trend in Islamic activism in the United States and the West, and we in MAS accordingly have been influenced by that moderate Islamic school of thought as it applies to our American identity and relevance for our American reality.

We in MAS are an independent American Muslim organization with a staunchly clear and firm American identity operating with full respect and compliance with our laws and Constitution. The administrative structure and methodology of MAS is well-known and public. We maintain the highest levels of transparency and believe in the tenets of public work in a free society.

MAS’ mission incorporates a comprehensive view of reform using a dual model of development and outreach. We strive to nurture our members into becoming exemplary citizens of our society and empower our community to positively integrate and fulfill its civic duties in building a more virtuous and moral society.

We in MAS are part of the history of recent Islamic activism in the United States, and the organizations outlined in your article were many of the public forums many of the current and former members of MAS developed prior to its incorporation in 1993 to fulfill their mission and advocate the comprehensive tenets of Islam. The activities led by the original organizations have been instrumental in constructing a vibrant Muslim community that is today well-positioned to contribute to the overall well-being and progress of our society.

    http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2004-09-26/news/0409260356_1_muslim-brotherhood-islam-muslim-american-society

Not that this will sway your opinion since you obviously are not going to believe anything other than what you believe. Don’t you think that if their actions were anything but what they have stated that they would have been shut down long ago? A sister from the same mosque I attend received financial assistance through their zakat program a couple years back that prevented her and her 5 children’s homelessness after the death of her husband. Does that make her too a spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood? Why is it that people like you cannot accept that an Islamic organization could possibly have good intentions and that it actually does good for its community? They were not indicted in any trial nor have they been found to be involved in any illegal activity. I read the entire report you linked. It cites the MAS as “one of its organizations or an organization of one of their friends” never claiming that the MAS belongs to them specifically. Here is a release from the MAS:

MAS is an independent American organization that aims to move people to strive for God-consciousness, liberty and justice and to contribute to a virtuous and just American society. MAS has no affiliation with the Ikhwan al Muslimoon (Muslim Brotherhood or the Ikhwan) or with any other international organization.

Towards the beginning of the 20th century, the Muslim Brotherhood evolved in many Arab countries (in many different forms) as a grassroots Islamic movement for reform and revival. As dictatorial regimes came to power, the Muslim Brotherhood became the only substantive movement that often found itself in opposition to the authoritarian regimes. To this day, other opposition groups are either fairly small, or entirely secular (and hence unpopular), or extremist. Thus anyone who had an activist inclination and was motivated to get involved in grassroots efforts to improve the country in opposition to dictatorial regimes was highly likely to either join the Muslim Brotherhood, or be influenced by its wide-reaching programs.

Many of these activists who traveled to the United States as students and continued to have activist inclinations here, not surprisingly, played a role in establishing organizations here. Hence many immigrant organizations that were established early on would likely have had some founders who formerly had some involvement or even membership in the Muslim Brotherhood. The establishment and development of MAS was a declaration of an American Muslim agenda – recognition that Muslims need an organization that is native to the US, whose agenda is to organize and integrate Muslims to be a contributing part of American society, to see themselves as Muslim Americans.

The Muslim Brotherhood are an influential part of post-colonial Muslim history, and have given rise to many prominent Muslim thinkers. This naturally resulted in the literature of those Islamic movements becoming the foundational texts for the intellectual component for Islamic work in America. We believe this had the advantage of protecting the majority of Muslims from extremist ideologies. With Muslims establishing themselves more and more as an integral part of American society, there was a need for an ongoing effort to re-evaluate the literature. This resulted in a re-examination of various authors and their contributions to the legacy. The outcome was the realization that the majority of what was written by Hassan al-Banna can be categorized as foundational thought (e.g. balanced understanding of Islam, societal reform, peaceful change, etc.) while a part of what he wrote may have been applicable to his time and place, but not to Muslims in America.

On the other hand, a great deal of literature written by other authors after Hassan al-Banna was primarily in reaction to situations and circumstances in Muslim countries, such as constant attacks and persecution by autocratic regimes. This includes particular ideas espoused in some works by authors like Syed Qutb. The critical evaluation of such literature resulted in identifying many areas where such literature was deemed irrelevant or unacceptable to Muslims in America and therefore should not be part of any foundational thought or curriculum, except within the context of understanding history and critiquing the literature.

This critical re-examination of the Muslim Brotherhood literature is by no means a contribution to the efforts to demonize them. Indeed, the Muslim Brotherhood is a very broad, diverse movement, present in many countries, with various leanings that cannot be painted with one broad brush. Several notable academics and politicians presently advocate engaging in different ways with the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as other potential proponents of peaceful, grassroots, popular opposition to authoritarian regimes in the Middle East.

MAS will continue to review all literature that is applicable to our context in the United States for inclusion and adoption as part of MAS’ curricula, which aid our efforts to move people to strive for God-consciousness, liberty and justice and to contribute to a virtuous and just American society.

Again, I ask you to give me proof that the MAS (who is not the Muslim Brotherhood) is seeking to destroy the US. Give me something they have done to back up this claim. Give me some kind of evidence that they are actively attempting what you claim they are attempting to do. Don’t give me a bunch of MB stuff, I want to know what the MAS has done. We can argue for forever about this, but you cannot give me one instance of the MAS seeking to destroy the U.S.

  25. @Irritated, on March 27, 2011 at 6:03 am said: Not that this will sway your opinion since you obviously are not going to believe anything other than what you believe

Irritated, I agree with you wholeheartedly! Likewise,
nothing will sway your opinion since you obviously are not going to believe anything other than what you believe. I don’t look at these friendly discourses as debates or convincing anyone or who is right or who is wrong. Rather, I look at these discourses as educating each other and other readers on the topic at hand.

Going back to the topic at hand, Muslim American Society is the wholly-owned subsidiary of the US Muslim Brotherhood. According to widely accepted terror authority Steven Emerson’s Investigative Project on Terrorism: the Muslim American Society is closely tied to Muslim Brotherhood:

“The Muslim American Society (MAS) is an organization with strong ties to the Muslim Brotherhood…The Muslim Brotherhood founded by Hassan al-Banya in 1928, has provided the ideological underpinning for almost all modern Sunni Islamic terrorist groups…”
    http://www.investigativeproject.org/documents/misc/44.pdf%5D

Given this degree of closeness, MAS’ breast-beating claims of moderation ring hollow, so it is not surprising that its sister groups … Muslim Americans for Palestine, Muslim Students Association, Islamic Society of North America, etc. … embody the same level of animus towards the US and the West. MAS openly and proudly identifies with such groups as Muslim organizations that are rooted in the same “Islamic revival movement” as MAS.

The Muslim American Society (MAS), established in 1993 and based in Falls Church, Virginia, claims to be “America’s largest grassroots Muslim organization with over 50 chapters nationwide.” While MAS portrays itself as a mainstream organization that attempts to serve the social, educational and religious needs of American Muslims, the organization has a troubling history of associations with radical organizations and individuals that promote terrorism and sharia implementation in the US and the West.

The organization’s ties to extremism are apparent in several ways:

*MAS leaders have said that the group was founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic extremist movement that originated in Egypt and has spawned and inspired terrorist organizations around the world, including Hamas and Al Qaeda.

    * MAS-affiliated Web sites have featured articles advocating jihad and suicide martyrdom.

    * The chairman of the Islamic American University, a Michigan-based subsidiary of MAS, is Sheik Yusuf Qaradawi, a leading Qatar-based Muslim Brotherhood ideologue known for his support of terrorist groups such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah.

    * Current MAS leaders and advisors held positions in the now defunct-Islamic Association for Palestine, described by the U.S. as part of a “propaganda apparatus” for Hamas.

    * Abdurahman Alamoudi, a prominent member of MAS and the founding president of the Islamic Society of Boston, is serving a 23 year prison sentence for illegal dealings with Libya and his involvement in a plot to assassinate Saudi King Abdullah in 2004 (then crown prince).

In May 2005, Daveed Gartenstein-Ross reported in The Weekly Standard that MAS is a U.S. front group for the Muslim Brotherhood — a claim supported by a September 19, 2004 Chicago Tribune story that stated: “In recent years, the U.S. Brotherhood operated under the name Muslim American Society, according to documents and interviews. One of the nation’s major Islamic groups, it was incorporated in Illinois in 1993 after a contentious debate among Brotherhood members.” This Tribune article was later reproduced on the Muslim Brotherhood’s English-language website, Ikhwanweb.

MAS, like the Muslim Brotherhood, wishes to see the United States governed by sharia, or Islamic law. “The message that all countries should be ruled by Islamic law,” writes Gartenstein-Ross, “is echoed throughout MAS’s membership curriculum. For example, MAS requires all its adjunct members to read Fathi Yakun’s book To Be a Muslim. In that volume, Yakun spells out his expansive agenda: ‘Until the nations of the world have functionally Islamic governments, every individual who is careless or lazy in working for Islam is sinful.'”

MAS’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood were also confirmed on August 14, 2007, as The Investigative Project on Terrorism reported:

“As the terror-support trial of the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) continued today, FBI agent Lara Burns testified that a phonebook found at the home of Ismail Elbarrasse — un-indicted co-conspirator and former assistant to HAMAS leader Musa Abu Marzook — listed the names and numbers of the Muslim Brotherhood leadership in the United States. On the first page of the phonebook under the title ‘Members of the Board of Directors’ were fifteen names. Among those names are Ahmad Elkadi, Jamal Badawi, and Omar Soubani: the founding incorporators of the Muslim American Society (MAS).”

    The Investigative Project continued:

“This evidence confirms … Matthew Levitt’s expert testimony that MAS is the representative of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States, and is substantiated by a [2004] Chicago Tribune article that outlined the history of MAS.

“Ahmad Elkadi, who told the Chicago Tribune that he was the leader of the Brotherhood in the U.S. from 1984-1994, worked with Mohammed Mahdi Akef, head of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood since 2003, to advocate for the founding of MAS. According to the Tribune report, Akef and Elkadi pushed for more openness for the Muslim Brotherhood through MAS. Akef himself ‘says he helped found MAS by lobbying for the change during trips to the U.S.’

“In fact, MAS does not deny its Muslim Brotherhood foundations. In 2004, then-Secretary General of MAS Shaker Elsayed stated to the Tribune that ‘Ikhwan [Brotherhood] members founded MAS…’ Elsayed even went so far as to admit that about 45 percent of MAS’s active members belong to the Brotherhood. Federal officials have confirmed this, noting continued ties between MAS and the Muslim Brotherhood.”

MAS is described by Stephen Schwartz, author of The Two Faces of Islam, as “a major component” of the “Wahhabi Lobby” that channels money from and advances the policies of Muslim-fundamentalist Saudi Arabia.

In 2002 Randall Royer was the Communications Director of MAS. The following year, federal agents arrested Royer and charged him with conspiring with a Pakistani Wahhabist group — Lashkar-I-Taibi, or “Army of the Righteous” — to commit terrorism in Kashmir, Chechnya and elsewhere.

  26. HOT OFF THE PRESSES: A CNN SPECIAL – Don’t Overstate Anti-Muslim Bias

    http://www.cnn.com/2011/OPINION/03/26/bennett.muslim.hearing/index.html

(CNN) — Let’s start with the national numbers: 8.4 percent of religious hate crimes in America were anti-Muslim in 2009 (the most recent date for which statistics are available). By contrast, that same year, nearly 72 percent of religious hate crimes in America were anti-Jewish (Muslims in America faced 107 incidents of bias in 2009; Jews faced 931).

This pattern has remained fairly consistent over the past decade. For example, in 2002, 10.5 percent of the religious bias crimes in America were anti-Muslim while 65% were anti-Jewish; in 2006 (just to pick another post- 9/11/2001 year), 11.9 percent of the religious bias crimes in America were anti-Muslim while 65.4 percent were anti-Jewish. (It is worth noting here that exact statistics on the Muslim population in America are hard to assess — estimates range from 2.6 million to 7 million, a number President Obama cited — the Jewish population is generally agreed upon at about 6.5 million).

Of course each and every hate crime is horrific and we wish there were zero hate crimes in America, but the larger point is important for context. If a radio host or some cable commentator or U.S. senator said, “The United States discriminates against Jews” or “Jews have a particularly hard time in the United States” or, “there is a lot of anti-Jewish bigotry in America,” it would simply not comport with most people’s — or most Jewish Americans’ — understandings of 21st century America. And yet, we accept at face value the storyline of wholesale anti-Muslim bigotry in America.

So what is that larger story? Bigotry is, of course, abhorrent. But given that America has been targeted by a great deal of terrorism in the name of Islam over the past decade — targeted by terrorists who say they are acting in the name of Islam — America has not over-reacted in a wave of anti-Muslim bigotry.

  27. I have to agree with Harry. What is the purpose of overstating the degree of anti-Muslim bigotry? To get us to put our guard down and look the other way when we see suspicious activities because you don’t want to be accused of bigotry? I’m sure that the families of the Ft. Hood victims didn’t appreciate all the politically correct bull that put that nut case Nidal Hasan in the position to kill their loved ones.

  28. It is not just that “the Muslim American Society is actively attempting to destroy the United States.”

The fact is that Muslims, all Muslims, not just the brotherhood, by their faith and belief in Mohammad, the Quran and Allah (note the order!) are working to destroy us, and subjugate us and make the world worse. The MB is just another front in a very old, broad war against non-Muslims that your dear prophet started. Haven’t you read the hadith? He attacked innocent people and villages and he is, according to the Quran, a great moral example to the Brotherhood and people like so many here that take Islam seriously.

Irrirated, as I have said before, anybody that says “Praise be upon him” after the name of your dear prophet is either ignorant or immoral. Just look at Muslim societies and see the fruit of your religion. You people don’t believe in Freedom of speech, freedom of religion,. equality and separation of state from the vile ideology of your prophet.

It is a sad day that Muslims came to the West,. They come and bring their vile prophet and his teachings with them. They ruin their societies and now they want us to suffer with them. Collectively, Muslims are a big negative to any society.

Then you complain… Oh, they (those horrible infidels) hurt my feelings. They don’t respect my dear prophet. They drew a stick picture of him. They named a teddy bear after him. They say what lots of us are terrorists just because lots of us are terrorists. Oh the injustice.

By the way, you still haven’t answered my questions from the other post. Or may I should ask is even in the face of plain evidence, do you really think that islam contributes in any way to a better world?

It is time for Muslims to stop talking peace and actually do peace and be kind to others. Is that too much to ask? Rather than defend your religion, why not just try to live the golden rule?

  29. Lynn: I’m sure that the families of the Ft. Hood victims didn’t appreciate all the politically correct bull that put that nut case Nidal Hasan in the position to kill their loved ones.

I just finished reading a book on exactly how and why this “politically correct bull” is happening.
The book is titled Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld of CAIR.

The father-son team of investigators did a six month undercover expose penetrating the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations that resulted in the collection of thousands of pages of smoking-gun documents from this terror-supporting front group for the dangerous, mob-like Muslim Brotherhood.

The trail of information reveals the seditious and well-funded efforts of the Brotherhood under the nonprofit guise of CAIR to support the international jihad against the U.S. Follow intern Chris Gaubatz as he courageously gains the trust of CAIR’s inner sanctum, working undercover as a devoted convert to Islam, and blows the whistle on the entire factory fueling the wave of homegrown terrorism now plaguing America.

You can read the sample preview (98 pages) by clicking on the link below:

  30. I think the concept of front group is being mis-used. In the days of old fashioned Stalinism there were real front groups. CAIR may be misnamed, there isn’t much American about it. It is a group founded by Arabs to support Arab/Muslim causes in the US.

  31. GOP senator, Senator Kyl, turns the tables at Muslim victimhood hearings: “Political correctness cannot stand in the way of identifying those who would do us harm”

    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20048408-503544.html

Defenders of Muslim civil rights went to Capitol Hill today to ask the federal government to stem what they say is a rising tide of anti-Muslim discrimination. Yet for one Republican senator, the real question was whether Muslim advocacy groups are doing enough to help the government curb Islamic extremism.

“I’m a bit perplexed by the focus” of the hearing, Kyl said, in light of the fact that most religious hate crimes in the United States are committed against Jews.

“The point is, all bigotry is to be condemned,” Kyl said. “Selective indignation is not helpful.”

“Political correctness cannot stand in the way of identifying those who would do us harm.” He questioned whether Muslim organizations were committed to helping root out extremist elements of Islam, given that many islamic websites advise Moslems to consult a lawyer before speaking with the FBI about violent extremism.

“I would think Muslim Americans would feel a special obligation to help in such investigations,” Kyl said.
“Every American has a civic duty to report criminal activity,” but added that “every American has the right to seek legal advice.”

FINALLY … Common Sense cutting through the enveloping fog of politically correct disinformation!!!

  32. “I would think Muslim Americans would feel a special obligation to help in such investigations,” Kyl said.
“Every American has a civic duty to report criminal activity,” but added that “every American has the right to seek legal advice.”

I just got a picture of some white cops trying to investigate a crime in a gang filled ghetto neighborhood. Would they get many eager witnesses? Wouldn’t it be best for them to help, whatever way they could, try to rid their neighborhood of these gangs?

  33. Would they get many eager witnesses? Wouldn’t it be best for them to help, whatever way they could, try to rid their neighborhood of these gangs?

That will indeed be the “best ideal” for moslem americans to get rid of the terrorists from their current neighborhood … America. In their islamic mindset, though, their REAL neighborhood is the DARUL ISLAM of Saudi Arabia and all the rest of the moslem ummah countries. America (and the rest of western countries) are their temporary abode or DARUL KUFFAR) until they get stronger and turn it into DARUL ISLAM.

Another way to understand the moslem mindset is to study the early islamic history when prophet migrated from Darul Kuffar of Mecca and made the
hijra/migration to Medina and turned it into Darul Islam.

In a few years, using the new darul islam of medina, as the base (base means al-qaida in arabic) the moslems conquered all the surrounding jewish and christian tribes. When they had enough numbers and strength, they conquered the old darul kafir of Mecca and turned it into darul islam.

From there, they went onto conquer most of the
christian and heathen world and moslemized and shariatized it all. Present day moslems are only following the teachings of the triology of koran, hadees and the seerah of prophet to turn the entire world into darul islam.

They are only trying to be good and pious moslems. They are working towards the promised paradise where rivers of honey and milk flow, where there are 72 virgin houris or 72 white raisins are anxiously awaiting, where handsome pearly boys and rivers of wine are awaiting. Oh and lest we forget, getting martyred in the way of Allah is an instant ticket to paradise!

  34. Irritated, I see you have dropped off this, either because old or you are busy. It was kind of one-sided with Harry doing the “to be or not to be” thing. I would like to close my contribution to this with the following…

The fact is that Islam teaches hate and intolerance, and encourages violence. Look at the Muslim world. Are you going to pretend that Islam has nothing to do with attitudes and actions of Muslims in those countries? Consider the despicable descriptions of non-Muslims in the Quran. Can you understand that those verses may cause many of the problems we see today? Are you going to make excuses and blame the usual suspects?

Look at Egypt. According to the NYT, an “Islamist Group Is Rising Force in a New Egypt” – that would be the brotherhood. Are you aware of its history? Do you know what this group teaches?“ Freedom is nice; so is democracy,” said Rifaat Abdul Massih, 39, a construction worker. “But I’m a Christian, and we are a bit worried about the future. Why is this non-Muslim in Egypt worried? Have you any idea? http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/25/world/middleeast/25egypt.html?_r=1

So what is happening in Egypt? May I quote: But perhaps the most obvious winners are the scowling men in long, black beards. They are the Salafists, Islamic fundamentalists who would like to see the strictest form of Islam applied to the way people live in Dubanah al-Kabirah, all of Egypt and across the Middle East.
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/egypts-fundamentalist-salafists-rise-in-wake-of-mubaraks-fall/2011/03/25/AFZmnblB_story.html

Who are these “scowling men in long, black beards”? What do they want? Do you know? Do you care?

Lets look at another country… Quote: The hollow chants of “Allahu Akbar!” reverberating from a distance seemed innocuous at first for Abera Gutema, who ventured home quietly from his shop just a short distance away. Moments later, a large, angry mob of machete-wielding Muslim youths descended on his family’s dwelling and chased him out, before burning and looting his property. Abera, a Christian, escaped through a back door, clutching his infant son Eyoel in one hand. (He said)“They were our friends, our neighbours with whom we shared everything,” said Abera, his eyes watering with tears. “
    http://blogs.reuters.com/faithworld/2011/03/24/ethiopias-religious-divides-flare-up-in-muslim-attacks-on-christians/

It is not just non-Muslims that suffer under Islam, but little girls. Quote: Only 14, Bangladeshi girl charged with adultery was lashed to death. The imam from the local mosque ordered the fatwa, or religious ruling, and the punishment: 101 lashes delivered swiftly, deliberately in public.
    http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/03/29/bangladesh.lashing.death/?hpt=C2

Tell me, Irritated, do you have any feelings at all? A small girl is brutally lashed to death because of your religion, your prophet, your god, your Quran and you do nothing, say nothing, and make silly excuses. What kind of people are you?

Oh yes, just in case you don’t know, again, this is a direct consequence of events following your dear prophet’s attack on the peaceful village of banu al-Mustaliq and the Aisha’s lost necklace, when your dear prophet came up with the 4 witness rule to protect his child-bride. Obviously Mohammad and Allah don’t care about little girls. It worked for Mohammad so you must be happy, and so whaty if thousands of little gisls have died because of those verses. It is nothing to people like you.

And so Muslims come to the West and they bring their hate and violence with them. A main instrument of that hate and violence is the MSA, which is informally linked to the Brotherhood, like it or not.

You people come and not only do you teach your vile ideology, you expect us not to criticize you.

Quote: Local, state and national Muslim groups and civil rights organizations publicly echoed the concerns and asked the school district to cancel the event (a conference about Islam and its impact). Speaking at the school’s central office (the Superintendent) said the school could not guarantee public safety if the event was held there. (Safety? From whom?) http://www.mansfieldnewsjournal.com/article/20110329/NEWS01/103290302/Mansfield-tea-party-guest-incites-debate-Islam-school-policy?odyssey=mod|mostview

Or maybe this: French religious leaders warn against divisive Islam debate
    http://blogs.reuters.com/faithworld/2011/03/30/french-religious-leaders-warn-against-divisive-islam-debate/

Oh yes, lets not talk about Islam, its doctrines or what Muslims do. Lets all hold hands and sing kumbayah.

Any Muslim that refuses to be honest about the vile things in Islam – and that is most of them – is in my opinion little different from those who pick up stones or whips to kill little girls. That is you, Irritated. You cannot even honestly condemn this because this comes directly from the teachings of a man you love – Mohammad. Too bad that your god didn’t think of things like this when she put those verses into her “perfect” word.

I would hope that in your opinion the word “persecuted” could be applied to the little girl mentioned above. Rather than dedicate yourself to us horrible infidels that criticize your dear prophet and religion, why don’t you do a jihad against the evil doctrines that lead to such vile actions as a small girl be whipped to death, her skin being removed strip by strip in the most agonizing way possible?

    That is a question.

    Kactuz

  35. Jay, regarding the post you made about the little girl in “Are Times of Prayer Abused”(I thought it was more appropriate to respond here) – I hear you. So many people have their heads in the sand these days, not just muslims, and that number seems to be growing. So much bad has been happening all over, but instead of trying to help, or to stop it, people just try to ignore it as if that means it doesn’t exist. People pretend to care, but if they really want to do good, be charitable, and be able to consider themselves valuable citizens under any god, they need to remember that charity starts at “home.” You want to talk about persecution? Adults are able to defend themselves, after a fashion. Children are completely dependent on us, yet they’re nearly always the ones who get abused the most. Whether it’s because of stupid government cuts, random abuse, or religious dogma, If you can condone the occurrence of such travesties, or try to say that they don’t really matter because they are just an “anomaly” or “minority”, then you really have nothing to say that I want to hear. Unfortunately, I cannot even say that this is purely a muslim problem, as I have seen it everywhere. However, when it is their religious text that is being used to motivate such cruelty, it becomes the responsibility of the followers to stand up and police their own. Your character is defined by how you treat your most vulnerable in their weakest moments. Who do you worship: God, or some man’s interpretation of a book written long after another man’s death? Your group’s PR is your responsibility: don’t blame me for judging by what I see.

(note: “you” here is used in the general sense, not the specific”)

  36. I just finished reading an excellent book, Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and
Contemporary Threat, by Dr. Peter Hammond. He explains the stages in which Islamization occurs
when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called ‘religious rights.’

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to ‘the reasonable’ Muslim
demands for their ‘religious rights,’ they also get the other components under the table. Here’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact
    Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

    United States –1.0%; Australia –1.5%; Canada –1.9%; China –1%-2%; Italy –1.5%; Norway –1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

    Denmark –2%; Germany –3.7%; United Kingdom –2.7%; Spain –4%; Thailand –4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.
They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves –along with threats for failure to comply.

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

    France –8%; Philippines –5%; Sweden –5%; Switzerland –4.3%; Netherlands –5.5%; Trinidad &Tobago –5.8%

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris –car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam -Mohammed cartoons).

    Guyana –10%; India –13.4%; Israel –16%; Kenya –10%; Russia –10-15%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

    Ethiopia –Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

    Bosnia –40%; Chad –53.1%; Lebanon –59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

    Albania –70%; Malaysia –60.4%; Qatar –77.5%; Sudan –70%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:

    Bangladesh –83%; Egypt –90%; Gaza –98.7%; Indonesia –86.1%; Iran –98%; Iraq –97%; Jordan –92%; Morocco –98.7%; Pakistan -97%; Palestine –99%; Syria –90%; Tajikistan –90%; Turkey –99.8% United Arab Emirates –96%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ –the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

    Afghanistan –100%; Saudi Arabia –100%; Somalia –100%; Yemen –99.9%

Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons (Pakistan, for example).

  37. Harry…Bahrain is also Muslim country…the govt is busy killing its fellow Muslim citizens at this very moment because said citizens are demanding equal rights.

It seems in many (most) of these Muslim countries…the more you demand to be treated with dignity and respect, with equality and basic human rights of free choice is when you are most likely to be arrested, tortured and probably killed.

Peaceful Islam, if it exists, does not exist in the hearts and minds of at least those “Muslims” that are in control of all those countries you listed. Apparently there is a disconnect between being an average Muslim with no real power…to being a “Muslim” that has the power to exert control of other Muslims (and nonMuslims at times)…it would seem that with power comes corruption…as the saying goes…but these dear fellows hide it all within the sacred untouchable realm of religion and dare anyone to point a finger at them.

  38. @CoolRed: It seems in many (most) of these Muslim countries…the more you demand to be treated with dignity and respect, with equality and basic human rights of free choice is when you are most likely to be arrested, tortured and probably killed.

CoolRed, you are exactly right and you are spot on!

Megalomania, bullishness, the sense of entitlement and all other narcissistic traits of Mohammad are present in each and every Muslim, to the extent that they emulate their prophet. From king to pauper, from president to janitor, Muslims consider themselves to be superior to the rest of humanity. They are convinced that one day Islam will dominate, mankind will submit to them, and they will be the masters of the world.

This feeling of self importance was expressed eloquently by Dr. Mahathir, the outgoing Prime Minister of Malaysia during an OIC (Organization of Islamic Conference) summit in 2003….

He acknowledged that the early Muslims built their
“civilization” by studying the works of the Greeks and other scholars before Islam and then boastfully added that the “Europeans had to kneel at the feet of Muslim scholars in order to access their own scholastic heritage.” In his speech he invited the Muslims to amass “guns and rockets, bombs and warplanes, tanks and warships” to subdue the non-Muslims detractors and again rule over them.

Muslims try to be like Mohammad in every way, especially Muslim Kings and other Muslim dictators and Muslim rulers. The mullahs study for years to learn their Prophet’s sunnah, and then teach that to believers, who in turn, do their best to emulate him.

Through the sunnah Muslims learn how Mohammad performed prayers, washed his face, hands and feet. They learn how he cleaned his teeth, nose and ears. They want to know how he ate, which fingers he licked after eating, which foods he liked or disliked, how he slept, dressed, and what was the shape and material of his clothing. How long was his beard? Did he perform ablution before going to his wives or after? With which foot did he enter the toilet? Did he urinate standing or squatting? Which direction did he face when answering the call of nature? On which foot did he placed most of his weight when squatting? With which hand did he clean his private parts?

To a Muslim the meaning of piety is to do exactly what Mohammad did. Ibn Sa’d in one of the thousands of hadees reports from a companion of Mohammad who tried to show off his piety by saying
that he saw Muhammad liked squash and since then he, too, loves this vegetable.:)-

  39. Azur… You are so right. Muslims need to understand that much of the criticism of islam has to do with what Muslims do.

Really we could care less about the Quran and Mohammad, but when we see these things and we see how irrational Muslims often are about Islam – so much that basic common sense does not apply, we try to find answers and then we start digging in the Quran and hadith.

If Muslims were like, ah, lets say, buddhists or quakers, nobody would care what the Quran and hadith say. However, because of the actions of Muslims and the way they treat others, it becomes clear to non-Muslims that these people have serious issues.

As to the young girl – May her soul rest in peace. may the vile men that did that to her roast in the darkest depths of hell for ever and ever and ever and ever. This is not the first case for this type of thing, nor will it be the last. If Muslims cannot see the evil in torturing a child, they are beyond hope. It they cannot stop these things, they deserve no respect. If they refuse to ask why this happens, they are complicit in this evil.

All the prayers in the world mean less then one minute of that girl’s suffering.

  40. Jay, personally, I couldn’t care less what anyone believes – they could worship apples for all I care or believe they need to stand on one leg like a flamingo while praying. So long as they are not hurting anyone, and they are not pushing their beliefs on others, I will defend their rights as much as I would my own.

But when you do start hurting people, then it becomes a major problem. Some christians are terrorists. Some pagans are terrorists. Some atheists are terrorists – etc. The difference here is that these people are not actually embraced by their larger religious groups – and they can’t really be said to be mainstream. Their ideals are viewed as misguided and discouraged based on varying interpretations of their given belief systems. Islam appears to consider itself universal, and perfect – though anyone with half a brain can tell that it is filled with contradictions. Is Allah merciful or vengeful? Should you love your neighbors(charity), or isolate or even attack them for the smallest infractions? As long as muslims continue to perceive themselves as one homogeneous group as well as immune of any wrongdoing as related to the “good word” there are going to be problems.

I’ve thought it for a while now, but I really think that the muslims are due for a reformation if they hope to preserve what they see as the best qualities of their beliefs. The Catholic Church, too, got a little too big for its britches and the people had to learn to see the negatives and trouble spots. I think the division of the Church was their way of trying to deal with these issues. However, until enough muslims can see past the “perfection” of their religion as interpreted today to the problems it is creating, I really don’t think they are capable of resolving these issues themselves. And until then, innocents will continue to suffer while normally good people continue to bury their heads in the sand and destructive people take advantage of their complicity.

  41. “NATO officials in Afghanistan say insurgents wearing women’s clothing attacked a coalition base in Kabul, as deadly protests against the burning of a Quran in the U.S. spread to the south.”

    “.. insurgents wearing women’s clothing ..”

Now where did they get this idea? Check out Bukhari, v3, p.160

Mohammad said: Revelations never come to me when I’m dressed in women’s clothing except when I’m dressed in Aisha’s” !!!

Moslems love their prophet and emulate him to the fullest. Got it?
