  1. What I like best about Saudi Arabia is the affordability to live and work in a country which induces no taxes on living, education, health and others.

    What I like least about Saudi is crowded cities and the lack of decent public transportation.

    Saudi Arabia is best known for oil, dates, Mecca and lots and lots of sand dunes.. Maybe camels too.

    King Abdullah will be always remembered for the compassion he showed during his rule as a kind father and a caring human being to all of his citizens, and mostly for quenching down the racism issues allover the kingdom of all types . He is the best King we had so far.

    What I like least…the public bathrooms are a disgrace to that country considering what it stands for in the minds of Muslims around the world.

  6. oops….King Abdullah will always be remembered for…(to me anyhow) only acting to pardon someone (usually a female) from an unjust and over the top punishment (lashings usually) when there is a huge outcry from OUTSIDE Saudi Arabia.

    ****Please note that I have never been there, but this is my perspective as an American with friends from there.****

    What I like best about Saudi Arabia is it has an interesting history and cultural perspective.

    What I like least about Saudi is how closed it is in terms of segregation (tribal, family, gender, nationality, etc.) and legally travelling there. I also don’t like how it reminds me of what I have read about life in the 50s, 60s & 70s in the US (a mix of all three depending on who you’re talking to) when it comes to relationships and expectations of women.

    Saudi Arabia is best known for probably its oil, gender segregation, and being the home of 2 holy mosques among Muslims.

    Saudi Arabia is least known for things that you don’t find there. Out of the things one would find there, probably many don’t realize how hospitable the locals can be, number of historical sites in the country, and the mass amount of construction currently happening in the country.

    King Abdullah will always be remembered for doing what he can to improve the lives of those in the kingdom through increasing opportunities for women and improving education.

    What I like least about Saudi is -legalized oppression and lack of human rights leading to one of the most unIslamic places on the planet. A horrible education system that indoctrinates people to support oppression and labeling it all Islamic.

    Saudi Arabia is least known for -baboons, friendly people.

    King Abdullah will be always remembered for- yet to be decided. It could still go very well, or very badly.

  11. From my never-been-there perspective…

    What I like best about Saudi Arabia is some of the people I’ve met online who are from there.

    What I like least about Saudi is the way they “protect” women by caging them as birds as someone described it here one time.

    Saudi Arabia is best known for oil and camels and Muhammad and polygyny.

    King Abdullah will be always remembered for being friendly with the US (or it seems that way).

    What I like least about Saudi is – Any type of racism..example: oooohhh..awwwww u have white skin..white skin so beautiful!!!. seriously who cares?..if ure white u will get that comment alot and if u havn’t already noticed ppl are obsessed with skin colour.. Of course its deeper then that..racism even between born saudi’s is common not to mention the ” saudi superior complex” that is rife in the country..its so sad,..u just wish u cud change their way of thinking.

    hmm, for keeping his self quite when he is a ruler of an Islamic country. He did nothing regarding Middle East regional peace. Just being afraid of Iran.
    And yeah will be remembered for women empowerment …. He tried well.
